Sweat, Wit, and Wine: The filming of Wine Republic’s Wine Guide
A few months ago, on some of the hottest days in July, I was holed up in a windowless industrial unit filming a wine guide (not the one on the site currently) for Wine Republic, the newly launched wine website that I’ll soon be presenting for. There were lots of laughs–and thank goodness because it distracted me from the constant river of sweat pouring down my back, forehead, and, well, everywhere else. Caius and Nick, the two film and tv gurus in charge of the website and wine guide are great guys, and despite the challenge of trying to explain the whole wine world in a clear and precise way and in two days (three for them), they stayed good natured and kept up a constant stream of witty banter throughout the shoot. And for that I am extremely grateful.
Their blog post on the filming really gives an idea of the day, and they say some darn nice things about me as well (gosh, thanks boys!). To give it a read and to see a few more of their pics of the day, click here.
Watch this space for the soon-to-come launch of the wine guide!
